Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Workforce Development Director. The salary range for this job is $75k-90k.


The Workforce Development Director will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and oversee the expansion of workforce training, recruitment, and retention programs.
  • Provide leadership to members to determine training needs of staff through planning, promoting and presenting educational programs.
  • Drive and manage the development of growing a talent pipeline to meet needs.
  • Provide services with ongoing professional development of staff.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing and education.
  • Lead and or assists in the development of student level training or education credentials.
  • Build and maintain positive long-term relationships with community agencies, colleges, and school systems.
  • Research and ensure submission of applications for grant opportunities, lead grant writing and secure grants for organization.


The Workforce Development Director will possess the following:


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in direct workforce development management, initiatives, projects, programs or strategies.
  • Positive, upbeat, person-focused approached.
  • Must be self-directed and can work independently.
  • Highly organized and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
