The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) is the national medical society representing emergency medicine. Through continuing education, research, public education, and advocacy, ACEP advances emergency care on behalf of its 41,000 emergency physician members, and the more than 150 million Americans they treat on an annual basis.
Located in Irving, TX, we offer paid insurance plans (medical, dental, and vision), retirement, flexible scheduling, and more. This role is open to applicants local to the DFW area only; fully remote applicants will not be considered. For local employees, a hybrid schedule of in-office work and work-from-home is possible upon approval by the manager.
The Director of Managed Chapters will serve as the Executive Director to ACEP assigned managed chapter clients. This position’s job duties include improving delivery of services to all chapters contracted with ACEP, maintaining knowledge of best practices in association management, planning events, improving membership recruitment, and overseeing legal and financial considerations for the chapters.
Applicants must have experience in budget preparation, fund/disbursement oversight, PAC management, meeting management, digital communications, project management, strategic planning, and maintaining/increasing association membership.

- A bachelor’s degree in management, education, communications, healthcare, or related field. Equivalent work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in association/non-profit management, including budgeting, contract negotiation, membership, and working with volunteer leadership.
- An established history working with digital communication channels including email, website content, newsletters, and social media.
- Ability to travel as needed. Travel can be expected a minimum of 5 times per year, with travel dates ranging between 1 – 6 days.
Other desired qualifications include meeting planning experience, marketing and communication experience, and Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification.
