Octane Lending is seeking a seasoned IT Director to lead their New York and Dallas/Irving, Texas IT and infrastructure teams.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the IT staff to upgrade and maintain existing applications, identify gaps, and develop new technical solutions.

The Director of IT & Infrastructure will ensure the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the organization.

This role will provide technical oversight with solutions such as Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Protection, Okta, Google G-Suite, Meraki / Ubiquiti networks (WiFi / wired), Zscaler, on-boarding, and off-boarding employees, isolating problems and implementing solutions.

The successful candidate will work directly with the internal IT team, external vendors, and manufacturers to discover and communicate technical solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing innovations that improve project velocity, infrastructure resiliency, security, and data availability while maintaining existing systems.

The Director will define, manage, triage, and maintain appropriate SLA for incoming requests, check and confirm the accuracy of work performed, and act as the last line of defense for quality control, best practices, and effective design strategies.

Additionally, the Director will respond to outages and security incidents within a timely and efficient resolution and participate in non-office-hours support on-call rotation of production cloud infrastructure and applications.

The ideal candidate will own business outcomes through a balance of speed, creativity, and a relentless high bar for quality, partner with stakeholders to help the team understand their mission and how they fit in with the overall business goals, and monitor and determine various staffing and training needs of the team.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science or related degree, 10+ years of experience in IT, systems, or software engineering, followed by 5+ years in a lead or manager capacity, and managing geographically dispersed teams supporting a hybrid workforce with multiple office locations in different time zones.

Experience interacting with senior management, managing teams of 7+ direct reports, advanced understanding of modern IT, security practices, and methodologies, and the ability to roll up your sleeves and contribute when and where necessary are also essential.
