We specialize in the development and manufacturing of mammalian-expressed recombinant proteins, with a focus on monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). Our AI-based approach significantly shortens the timeline from lab research to clinical manufacturing, allowing for faster delivery of critical therapies to patients.


Role Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Purification Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and execution of purification processes for recombinant proteins, including monoclonal antibodies.


Key Responsibilities

Protein Purification Development

  • Design and execute strategies for protein purification using various chromatographic methods, including affinity (Protein A), ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography.
  • Develop and optimize purification protocols to ensure high purity, yield, and scalability for monoclonal antibodies and other recombinant proteins.


Process Development and Optimization

  • Troubleshoot purification processes and optimize for efficiency and consistency, including resin screening and buffer optimization.
  • Perform process scalability studies, ensuring reproducibility from bench scale to manufacturing scale.


Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze experimental data using statistical software and present findings in clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including upstream process development, quality control, and regulatory teams, to ensure seamless technology transfer and project success.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experimental work in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.


Project Management

  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects to meet timelines and project goals.
  • Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and provide technical support and guidance throughout the development process.
  • Stay updated with advancements in purification technologies, bioprocessing, and protein production methods.


Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or B.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field with 2-5 years of relevant industry experience (CDMO or biopharmaceutical company preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with protein purification techniques, including chromatography and ultrafiltration/diafiltration.
  • Proficiency in purification process development, optimization, and troubleshooting for recombinant protein production, including monoclonal antibodies.
  • Experience with protein characterization methods, including SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and HPLC.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex experimental data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of chromatographic techniques (e.g., affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion chromatography).
  • Experience with high-throughput purification platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biologics development (e.g., FDA, EMA guidelines).
  • Experience in managing client relationships and providing technical support.
