About Your Role:

As a vital member of our Protein Purification Team, you will engage in the manufacture of a diverse array of proteins essential to Promega's broad product portfolio. Your role will involve conducting meticulous quality control assays to verify that these proteins adhere to stringent quality specifications and perform effectively. In addition to your core manufacturing duties, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve production challenges, drive process enhancements, and contribute to the launch of innovative new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manufacture a variety of products to meet product specifications, following production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of finished product.
  2. Perform assays to ensure that products meet existing quality control requirements, including evaluation of raw materials when necessary.
  3. Understand quality requirements that relate to work area, demonstrating good documentation practices and consistently producing quality products and documentation.
  4. Assist with writing, reviewing, and revising manufacturing and quality control protocols for clarity, appropriate technical content, process improvements, scale-up, and/or raw material changes.
  5. Design experiments to problem solve and improve existing manufacturing and quality control processes.
  6. Assist with and follow project plans and experimental design with assistance, providing data or information to others in work area and assisting in implementation activities for own products.
  7. May assist on multidisciplinary product improvement or development teams by providing information and technical support to meet team goals, interacting as needed with marketing, quality assurance, and research and development personnel to identify customer requirements for new products and process improvements.
  8. Demonstrate inclusion through their own words and actions, and be accountable for a safe workspace, acting with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.
  9. Embrace and be open to incorporating Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.
  10. Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology) and 3+ years of postgraduate lab experience in industrial manufacturing operations, as reflected in a proven record of accomplishment in the key responsibilities of this position.
  2. A documented record of accomplishment in experimental design and problem solving relevant to this position.
  3. A documented record of organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to effectively work on several projects and/or products.
  4. Ability to interpret and communicate scientific results and interact productively with others on the team.
  5. Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to use a computer/Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior industry experience.
  2. Experience with use of computers for collection and analysis of experimental data.
  3. Ability to use standard laboratory protective equipment.
