Position Title: Channel Development Manager – Value, Club and Mass


Position Reports to: Channel Director - Value, Club and Mass


Location: New York / New Jersey Metro Area, Commutable to NYC Office


Job Summary:

As a National Account Manager for Lifestyles Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales strategy and managing key relationships with national retail accounts. This position requires a knowledgeable sales professional with an understanding of the consumer goods industry, exceptional account business building skills, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.


The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales plans, analyze market trends, and ensure the overall success of the company's products within the national retail landscape.



Responsibilities:


Strategic Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national retail accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute strategic account plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive growth initiatives through effective distribution, assortment, product placement, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
  • Will have direct responsibility for Value/Dollar Channel, BJs other customers as needed.


Sales Leadership:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned national accounts.
  • Lead negotiations to secure favorable distribution, product placement, pricing, and promotional opportunities.
  • Analyzes market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors to identify growth opportunities.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide insights and feedback from the field to support product development and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with trade marketing to develop and implement promotional programs.
  • Supports execution of Mass and Club channel customer strategy and plans.


Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics to forecast sales trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing account performance, challenges, and opportunities.


Customer Advocacy:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for national accounts, addressing concerns and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
  • Advocate for customer needs within the organization to drive customer-centric initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as account manager in the Consumer Products Goods industry.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a growth mindset, always seeking and pursuing the next opportunity to drive sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

The Salary range: $110,000 year - $ 160,000 year (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location)
