Summary of Position and Duties:

● Provide administrative support to members of the Sales team as directed.

● Respond to incoming inquiries and assist with lead entry in CRM.

● Assist in developing proposals, site agendas, sales presentations, client amenities, scheduling meetings, event support and preparing managers for business travel.

● Customer service experience; strong verbal and written communication skills.

● Timely and regular communication with the Sales team regarding project updates and workload.

● Complete all projects as assigned in a timely manner.

● Efficient office/clerical skills, expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and CRM Database Software.

● General knowledge of Austin and the hospitality industry.

● Continue to take advantage of training opportunities when possible.

● Always present yourself in a mature, professional manner when at work or at functions representing the organization. Maintain a professional appearance while representing Visit Austin.

● Be an active participant in meetings and events as deemed necessary by management, to include but not limited to departmental meetings, staff meetings, industry meetings and events, and partner site visits.

● Have a good understanding of all policies and procedures of Visit Austin and follow them as appropriate.

● Perform other duties as required.

● Evening and weekend work may be required.


Key Qualifications and Skill Sets Required:

● Bachelor’s degree preferred, related experience may substitute.

● Important personal traits are the ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work with little

supervision.

● Must be able to take direction from superiors and seek assistance when needed.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

while maintaining quality and accuracy, meet deadlines and be responsive to emails and voicemails in a timely manner.

● Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a hybrid work environment.

● Must possess excellent customer service and effective verbal & written communication skills.

● Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and follow-up skills.

● Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows & Google Suite environment.
