Location: Cambridge, MA (onsite 5 days a week, non-negotiable, this is a startup environment and we are looking for someone committed to having a large impact on the firm and product)

Job Role: We are seeking a Lead Backend Python Developer / Architect to take our innovative software solution to the next stage. This role requires experience in creating and maintaining scalable system architectures with a focus on delivering high-quality performance. You will lead the development of our product with Python and Terraform.

As a vital part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to our product and influence the product's future direction.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the backend development of our products using Python and Terraform.
  2. Architect, design, and implement efficient and reusable systems.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, functional script.
  4. Test, debug, and improve the performance of the product.
  5. Regularly review code, troubleshoot, and fix bugs to ensure the product is always running smoothly.
  6. Provide mentorship to other backend developers within the team.


Qualifications:

  1. B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a senior/lead backend developer.
  3. Strong skills and experience in Python and Terraform.
  4. Solid experience with software development lifecycle processes.
  5. Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and system architecture.
  6. Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment (onsite in Cambridge, MA)
