Job Summary:

The HR Generalist role involves providing comprehensive human resource support, managing employee relations, promoting employee development, maintaining compliance, and fostering a culture of employee engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure fair and consistent application.
  • Manage employee relations for a client group, addressing employe concerns and mediating conflicts to foster a positive work environment.
  • Assist in performance management, including goal setting, performance reviews, and providing feedback to support employee growth.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives that support the company’s culture and objectives.
  • Support retention strategies to reduce turnover and increase employee tenure, including conducting exit interviews, analyzing retention data, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in special projects, events, and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and organizational success.
  • Collaborate with leadership to cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the organization's values and promotes employee well-being.
  • Conduct training sessions on various HR-related topics as needed.
  • Conduct investigations into employee relations matters as needed.
  • Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others as needed in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintains the integrity of the company and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications – Education, Experience, Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations and employee engagement.
  • Understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence others.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Office environment (no specific or unusual physical/environmental demands).
