Manager – Software Program Management Team (IoT)

This company, a growing, profitable developer of high-end consumer products, is looking for a Manager to oversee IoT software projects and mobile app development. You’ll oversee a multi-dimensional team (Cloud, Data, Mobile App, Firmware, and Software QA) developing next generation products.

Position Description

In this position, you’ll oversee the Technical Project Management aspects of the software development team. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of their mobile app, which currently has over 1 million users, and is growing rapidly.

This includes:

  • Coordinating/guiding application developers, architects, scrum masters, user experience architects, user acceptance testers, firmware engineers, and quality assurance testers to deliver innovative mobile app experiences
  • Responsible for delivery of cross-functional programs including removing roadblocks, identifying risk, resource planning, and prioritization alignment between Product and Engineering
  • Representing the Software Program team in day-to-day agile scrum team meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint planning sessions, sprint retrospectives, backlog refinement/grooming sessions, and product demonstrations.
  • Managing the analytics and performance reporting for new digital features
  • Leading/presenting the SW Engineering Roadmap
  • Liaison with key members of the marketing organization on communication programs that raise awareness and drive usage of the mobile self-service channel
  • Identify emerging trends and stay abreast of the industry and connected home products
  • Conduct project retrospectives to identify areas for process improvement and proposes relevant process changes for implementation

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science (or related field), with 6+ years of software program management experience (some mobile app experience is ideal).
  • Management experience to include:
  • - Experience managing teams of Program Managers
  • - Ability to gain buy in from stakeholders
  • - Ability to understand data, analyze results, draw insights and conclusions
  • - Ability to own programs from end-to-end, while accounting for cross-functional needs
  • - A collaborative approach to achieving business results
  • Experience with agile development (collaboration and test-and-learn environments)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
  • The ideal experience would be someone from a hardware company that has a connected app (IoT)


Compensation:

$140-160K base salary, with bonus and full benefits.

Relocation assistance is available.

Visa (H1-B) sponsorship and immigration support are available.

This is a direct-hire position, with a full benefit package.
