Position Description
In this position, you’ll oversee the Technical Project Management aspects of the software development team. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of their mobile app, which currently has over 1 million users, and is growing rapidly.
This includes:
- Coordinating/guiding application developers, architects, scrum masters, user experience architects, user acceptance testers, firmware engineers, and quality assurance testers to deliver innovative mobile app experiences
- Responsible for delivery of cross-functional programs including removing roadblocks, identifying risk, resource planning, and prioritization alignment between Product and Engineering
- Representing the Software Program team in day-to-day agile scrum team meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint planning sessions, sprint retrospectives, backlog refinement/grooming sessions, and product demonstrations.
- Managing the analytics and performance reporting for new digital features
- Leading/presenting the SW Engineering Roadmap
- Liaison with key members of the marketing organization on communication programs that raise awareness and drive usage of the mobile self-service channel
- Identify emerging trends and stay abreast of the industry and connected home products
- Conduct project retrospectives to identify areas for process improvement and proposes relevant process changes for implementation
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science (or related field), with 6+ years of software program management experience (some mobile app experience is ideal).
- Management experience to include:
- - Experience managing teams of Program Managers
- - Ability to gain buy in from stakeholders
- - Ability to understand data, analyze results, draw insights and conclusions
- - Ability to own programs from end-to-end, while accounting for cross-functional needs
- - A collaborative approach to achieving business results
- Experience with agile development (collaboration and test-and-learn environments)
- Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
- The ideal experience would be someone from a hardware company that has a connected app (IoT)
Compensation:
$140-160K base salary, with bonus and full benefits.
Relocation assistance is available.
Visa (H1-B) sponsorship and immigration support are available.
This is a direct-hire position, with a full benefit package.
