This Project Manager position reports into the Packaging Engineering team under clients Combination Product Organization (CPO). This position requires the application of Project Management skills and engineering principles to support commercialization of packaging components and configurations for drug products and combination products supporting new site start-up.


This role will support clients manufacturing network by applying broad knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging operations, equipment, devices, and materials to develop the industry’s best combination product assembly and packaging processes. The job will require both planning and technical support of complex projects supporting a new site start-up. The Project Manager role will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure on-time completion, establish priorities, report project status updates, and manage project dashboards for the Secondary Packaging Engineering team.


Project Manager will communicate with Packaging Engineers, cross-functional team members, and program Project Managers to develop implementation plans and deliverables. This role requires management, problem solving, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environment. Project Management experience supporting implementation of commercial packaging configurations is preferred. Candidate must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

The Project Manager role will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure on-time completion, establish priorities, report project status updates, and manage project dashboards for the Secondary Packaging Engineering team. Project Manager will communicate with Packaging Engineers, Portfolio lead, cross-functional team members, and program Project Managers to develop implementation plans and deliverables. This role requires management, problem solving, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environment.

Basic Qualification:

Doctorate degree OR Master degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelor degree and 4 years of experience OR Associate degree and 10 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience


Top 3 Must Have Skills:

Project Management Skills (2- 3 years)

BS degree - + Packaging engineering, project management, science field

Deliverables are on scheduled, activities are capture, timelines

Understanding environment - implementation of packaging components (preferred)

Would consider someone with 3 years of project management experience, with science degree.

Strong PM background is absolutely necessary +5 years in PM. Must be able to present to senior leadership.


Possible Extension: Yes

Frequent change in position (less than 1 year unless jobs were assignments)
