Our financial client in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a Financial Dispute Specialist for this 5 days/week onsite opportunity. This is a 3 month contract with potential to extend. If the contract extends beyond 3 months, you’d be eligible for benefits and more.


Ideal Candidate: 2-4 Years experience in a financial institution within fraud and/or disputes is required; knowledge of applicable compliance laws and regulations required; proficiency in Excel, Word and QA processes.


The Financial Dispute Specialist is responsible for processing debit and ATM dispute and fraud cases. This role will guarantee timely processing in accordance with regulatory standards. Duties entail overseeing different phases of the chargeback procedure, including gathering and handling data, issuing provisional credits, pinpointing precise justifications, and rendering final adjudications.


In this position, ensuring the prompt completion of all procedures is essential, while also maintaining transparent communication with members to handle telephone inquiries, account transactions, and resolve issues. The Specialist will also uphold rigorous record-keeping standards for dispute/fraud claims, encompassing electronic case correspondence and ledger management.


Responsibilities:

  • Aids cardholders in resolving disputes and fraud cases, adhering to the rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Reserve Bank.
  • Understanding of Visa rules and regulations related to debit card transaction disputes.
  • Handles incoming card disputes and fraud claims
  • Communicates with cardholder through Mail, Online, and email
  • Handles internal/external phone calls
  • Support other processes within the department such as card transactions settlement, and GL reconciliation


Qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 Years Financial Institution experience
  • Experience in customer service
  • Capacity to prioritize numerous tasks within a deadline-centric setting.
  • Skilled in excel, word and QA processes.
