At Sustainability Engineering Group LLC, we are seeking a dedicated Financial Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of our financial documentation and ensuring the reliability of our financial operations. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and solid understanding of financial principles will be vital to our ongoing success.

  • Financial Documentation: Ensure accurate financial documentation, manage accounts payable and receivable, and consistently update ledger entries.
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy.
  • Expense Management: Diligently track and record all company expenditures in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Handle invoice processing, oversee payments, and foster positive relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Create and send client invoices, monitor payments, and accurately record incoming funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll functions by calculating and documenting employee hours, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Tax Preparation: Aid in the preparation and submission of tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Financial Insights: Provide financial analysis and insights to support management's strategic decision-making.
  • Record Management: Maintain organized financial records both electronically and in hard copy, adhering to company policies and legal standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial role.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
