WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:


As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design of intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing digital experiences for large consumer product websites.


You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, strategy, content, and development—to create designs that enhance the user experience while aligning with brand objectives and business goals.


You’ll bring your deep understanding of UX/UI principles and passion for human-centered design to create best-in-class digital experiences that resonate with consumers.



***PLEASE NOTE: This is an ongoing FREELANCE ROLE with full-time hours, and the possibility of converting to a full-time employee assuming it's a great fit on both sides.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead UX/UI design projects for large consumer product websites, ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and optimize user journeys.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and interaction patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, development, content) and clients to translate business requirements into user-friendly designs.
  • Stay up to date on UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure designs are cutting-edge and effective.
  • Present and articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and clients, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Ensure that all digital experiences meet accessibility standards and are optimized for both desktop and mobile.



WHAT YOU'LL (IDEALLY) BRING TO THE TABLE:


  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably within a marketing or digital agency environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design work on large consumer product websites, with an emphasis on user experience and visual design.
  • Expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD etc.).
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles.
  • Ability to balance user needs with business objectives, delivering designs that meet both.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
