Position Overview: The HRIS Systems Manager is responsible for the primary support of the HRIS system (Workday) and handles HRIS-related requests and user support. This role manages the integrations between the HRIS System (Workday) and collaborates closely with Information Technology to ensure proper technical functionality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • HRIS Implementation and Upgrades: Contribute significantly to the HRIS system (Workday) implementation and bi-annual upgrades. Stay updated on Workday releases, assess their relevance to business needs, and work cross-functionally with various enterprise stakeholders, including Talent Management, Talent Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Information Technology, Finance, and Risk Management.
  • Project Oversight: May oversee project completion, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work progress and accuracy, and evaluating results.
  • Collaboration with HR Groups: Partner with HR groups to enable the effective use of core HR and integrated systems. Configure and maintain business process definitions in Workday for HCM, including Learning, Talent Development and Management, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition. Review system configurations and design options to make consultative recommendations.
  • System Testing and Implementation: Continuously test and implement changes in the HRIS (Workday).
  • Security and Policy Configuration: Configure and maintain domain security policies and business process policies in Workday. Maintain documentation and procedures for audit and tracking of tasks.
  • Integration Development and Support: Develop and support integrations (EIB) for inbound and outbound data exchange between Workday and other internal/external systems.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, interpret, and distribute HRIS data for periodic reporting as requested.
  • Problem Solving and Process Improvement: Troubleshoot problems, conduct workflow analysis, and streamline processes to improve overall efficiency and effective use of technology.
  • End-User Training: Train end-users on new processes and functionality as needed. Assist with training new users.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare new reports from HRIS (Workday) and manipulate existing report variables to generate ad-hoc reports using Report Writer, Excel, and dashboards/visualization techniques.
  • Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and quality assurance of all data.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between IT and the HR department.
  • Task Management: Handle various assignments related to the HRIS (Workday) demonstrating excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Special Projects: Manage and participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Compliance: Follow legal policies as directed.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience with HRIS systems such as ADP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, with high preference for expereince with Workday.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications: Workday Certifications in HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting are preferred but not required.
  • Must Have: experience with security administration and business process administration in Workday.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Exercise sound judgment, work well under pressure, take initiative, be flexible, handle highly confidential information appropriately, and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of system integrations and integration techniques.
  • Experience with report writing software.
  • Excellent query and reporting analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write and maintain documentation.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking skills.
