Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team.


We seek an individual who can make creative and engaging content to share on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This person will be able to post regularly to grow an audience, build brand awareness, and, ultimately, boost community engagement.


This position requires a proven record in event and social media management experience, particularly for the marketing of fitness/recreational brands, strong knowledge of interactive creative development processes, and experience developing innovative solutions with a relatively high level of autonomy.


Core Duties:

  • Website: Manage website requests and work with programs to optimize page conversions.
  • Event management: Oversees program and event calendar and works closely with stakeholders to execute events successfully.
  • Newsletters: Construct newsletters with designated templates to send out to community subscribers
  • Social Media: Manage day-to-day social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) and creatively engage with users across all platforms.
  • Ideation and Strategy: Create content that the Stanford demographic will engage with. Identify key demographics and interaction preferences. Understand the targeted audience for each social channel, create persuasive content that strikes a chord with the intended audience, and is unique to the typical interactions of each channel.
  • Photography: Demonstrate competency with DSLR camera operations. Ability to capture professional photos of adventure/outdoor programs, fitness programs/classes, active sports/games, and facilities while incorporating lighting techniques and editing with Lightroom.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Key Qualifications:

  • Has excellent communication and collaborative skills, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of influencing the creative output.
  • Has extraordinary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has experience with being a social media influencer and/or keeping up with trends.
  • Has experience creating Instagram reels and TikToks.
  • Excellent customer service experience and a proven ability to meet performance standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to provide excellent client service.
  • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on a tight schedule.
  • Ability to function and communicate effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates our shared humanity.

Bonus Qualifications But Not Required:

  • Videography: oversee successful conception and execution of visual creative direction and video clips utilizing Final Cut Pro

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, and grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
  • Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork.
  • Rarely kneel/crawl.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Routine work during normal business hours, evenings and weekends. May need to work occasional extended hours.
  • May be exposed to noise > 80dB TWA.
