C2’s client, a growing digital media agency that specializes in connecting advertisers to audiences through powerful and innovative campaign solutions, seeks a Paid Search/PPC Specialist to join their team in a contract-to-direct hire role. The right candidate's main responsibilities will be to develop, implement, and manage paid search marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms and channels.


The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of how to execute highly relevant and high-performing Paid Search campaigns that align with the agency’s clients’ brand positioning, category, and goals.


The right applicant is detail-oriented, technically savvy, and curious about the constant evolution of digital media solutions. They can quickly identify and resolve issues, plus utilize the full capabilities of campaign platforms to drive the best results.


The Paid Search/PPC Specialist is comfortable working with a small, diverse team who believes collaboration and communication are key to driving outcomes, in a setting where individual contributions are celebrated and each team member focuses on growth opportunities for themselves, the agency's clients and the agency.


Start date: June 1

Duration: Contract to Hire: 3-month contract, starting with 20-40 hours/week pending client need and talent availability. Once on boarded as a direct hire, this will be a full-time position.

Location: Hybrid , 3 days/week in their fabulous office in the heart of Wauwatosa WI; 2 days/week WFH, after 90 day probationary period

Compensation: Hourly: $28-$33/hour; Salary:$60-$65k/year; Each is commensurate with experience

Benefits: All full-time C2 talent are eligible for the following benefits after 90 days: medical, dental, and optional vision insurance, and 401(k) match and accrued PTO


Critical for success in THIS ROLE:

  1. Expertise in Google Performance Max (PMax) product. This role will eventually lead the PMax discipline within the agency (it's a leading revenue driver for the agency), increasing returns and accelerating outcomes on goal-based campaigns to drive conversion across the Google ecosystem: YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail, and Maps.
  2. Ability to work with minimal direction or information - be self-directed, own the project, drive outcomes by asking great questions and keep things moving.
  3. Confidently manage ambiguity while executing on campaign strategy... follow a process, build a process, modify a process... no matter how it has to get done, IT GETS DONE

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective PPC campaigns based on client marketing objectives
  • Review media proposals and make recommendations on search products, messaging, targeting, budgets, and other campaign strategies that align with client goals
  • Exhibit clear understanding of how to connect client objectives to develop relevant search marketing creative, keyword generation, text ad copy creation, and asset management
  • Use campaign data to recommend and implement optimizations to improve overall campaign performance and successfully deliver against client KPIs
  • Report on a weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence to the client on campaign performance and recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members working on other paid media strategies such as programmatic and social to ensure cohesive and goal-oriented campaign execution across all channels
  • Communicate frequently with account managers and creative services on the status and performance of client campaigns
  • Apply critical thinking, communicate with vendors and research product documentation to troubleshoot performance, spending, and tracking issues
  • Stay up-to-date on and advise clients of the latest trends in online search marketing
  • Engage in training and professional development opportunities with the team


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Google PMax experience as well as PPC/SEM or SEO related experience
  • Google Ads, Google Analytics & Microsoft Ads certified with experience coordinating PPC campaigns across these platforms
  • Highly proficient with all types of Google Ad solutions including: Search, PMax, Display, Remarketing, Shopping, YouTube, etc.
  • Highly proficient in Excel plus comfortable with Microsoft Office/Google Suite programs
  • In-depth understanding of search engines, up-to-date techniques, ranking factors, and principles for sound SEM strategy
  • Ability to manage technical components of PPC campaign execution including Tag Manager integration, pixel implementation, 1st party audience integration and more
  • Experience with other digital ad platforms including Meta, Amazon, or various programmatic DSPs a plus
  • Knowledge of web design technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.) a plus - the whole ecosystem matters when it comes to search
  • Ability to review complex data and communicate highlights in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to work well independently but communicate frequently with managers and other team members on the progress of projects and deadlines
  • Passionate about the media and marketing industry, with a strong desire to build world-class digital talent in Milwaukee
  • B.S. in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any technology-related field
