Reputable Chicagobased firm is hiring a Stormwater Project Engineer for their team in Peoria


Responsibilities:

  • Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of floodplains and floodways (bridge and culvert crossings)
  • Analyze flood problem areas to identify problems look for solutions and create a design with recommended alternatives
  • Stormwater system analysis and design for municipal/roadway projects (conveyance storage and stormwater quality best management practices)
  • Design of soil erosion/sediment control practices
  • Serve as the technical lead on projects
  • Perform a variety of design tasks (calculations/models report/plan preparation quantity calculations construction details specifications cost estimates and other related tasks)
  • Work on multidiscipline projects with other disciplines
  • Review engineering work completed by others
  • Build/maintain client and vendor relationships
  • Mentor/train junior staff


Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in civil engineering
  • 7 years of water resources experience
  • Experience with municipal and/or highway drainage design projects
  • PE License for Illinois and/or Indiana
  • Proficient in Microstation
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (including HECRAS and SWMM)
  • Experience in AutoCad preferred



Salary is commensurate with experience.
