About the Opportunity

Mead & Hunt, a leading professional services consulting firm, is seeking a mid-level wastewater collection engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with wastewater and stormwater collection system evaluation, planning, and design projects.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with wastewater and stormwater collection system evaluation, planning, and design projects to solve municipal collection system problems related to combined and sanitary sewer overflows, flooding, collection system aging, and water quality.
  • Occasional travel will be required, and remote work may be considered.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience, including collection system analysis or design experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • EIT certification with the ability to obtain professional registration as a PE or a PE.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling programs such as SWMM or MIKE URBAN.
  • Civil 3D expertise with a focus on sewer plan and profile development.
  • Combined sewer overflow (CSO) long-term control plan (LTCP), CSO reduction planning, and sewer flow evaluation experience.
  • Green infrastructure planning and design experience.
  • Infiltration and inflow study experience.
  • Sewer system rehabilitation experience.
  • Project management, mentoring, project scoping, proposal writing, and client management experience.
  • The ability to learn quickly and stay organized.
  • Effectively coordinate with a larger project team, self-perform work, and be receptive to feedback and mentoring.
