About the Role

Farnsworth Group is seeking a skilled Municipal Civil Engineer to join our team in Bloomington, Champaign, Effingham, Peoria, or Pontiac, IL offices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing various civil engineering projects, including water, wastewater, and stormwater systems for local and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support relationships with clients and agencies
  • Work on a variety of projects related to municipal client needs, including water, sewer, and streets
  • Conduct field inspections, measurements, and calculations
  • Perform condition assessments
  • Prepare and develop construction, design documents, and plans
  • Manage projects and programs from inception to completion
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2-5 years of Civil Engineering experience
  • FE or PE Certification, or expected to be obtained
  • Experience with IDOT, MFT, and local agency projects
  • Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Ability to work in the office and field for construction engineering and observation
  • Management, communication, and organization skills
