Job Title: Stormwater Project Engineer

Harrison Consulting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Stormwater Project Engineer to join our team in Peoria. As a key member of our water resources team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing stormwater management systems for municipal and roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of floodplains and floodways, including bridge and culvert crossings.
  • Analyze flood problem areas to identify issues, develop solutions, and create designs with recommended alternatives.
  • Design stormwater systems, including conveyance, storage, and stormwater quality best management practices.
  • Develop soil erosion and sediment control practices.
  • Lead technical projects and perform a variety of design tasks, including calculations, model development, report preparation, and construction details.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Review engineering work completed by others.
  • Maintain client and vendor relationships.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 7+ years of water resources experience.
  • Experience with municipal and/or highway drainage design projects.
  • PE License for Illinois and/or Indiana.
  • Proficient in Microstation.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including HEC-RAS and SWMM.
  • Experience in AutoCad preferred.
