Description

  • Prepare Detailed Estimates: Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze Project Plans: Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and risk assessment to provide competitive and realistic bid proposals.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Obtain and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Maintain Cost Databases: Update and maintain a database of historical costs and industry benchmarks to support accurate and efficient estimating processes.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all client requirements and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, materials, and construction methods to continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Profile

  • Experience: In estimating for commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address potential challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
