Alongside our investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Bluestein Ventures, Blue Hill owner David Barber, Kayak Founder Paul English, and most recently EO Ventures, we’re building an omni-channel brand that marries DTC with retail to create a whole new category in the rapidly-growing ready-to-eat food space. Our test kitchen, guest chef program, and Marketplace offerings connect creators, brands, and gourmet food with families to create a community of discovery and joy. And our unique model for producing and hand-delivering food to customers daily delivers a whole new level of quality with the convenience and flexibility customers crave.


Since our launch in Boston in 2020, we have grown to cover Boston, NY, and DC, and are rapidly scaling nationwide.


What is this position?


You will have the unique opportunity to launch a breakthrough, convention-defying, category-transcending new brand in an environment where risk-taking, envelope-pushing, and troublemaking is highly prized.


 This person will own all aspects of brand marketing and will shape the brand strategy. You’ll be responsible for telling the story of our brand across paid, earned and owned channels. You will be comfortable pushing boundaries, taking risks, and crafting a breakthrough, convention-defying, disruptive brand strategy.


Your work will directly influence WECO’s realization of our mission: to bring back dinnertime. 


The ideal candidate is an expert in integrated marketing with a background in brand, consumer, and omni-channel. You’ve worked in big companies and startups and built brands from scratch and you are ready for a new and exciting challenge.


What you’ll do:


  • Develop and execute comprehensive and integrated marketing strategies that are extremely buzzworthy
  • Create and lead the content strategy and execution
  • Own partnership development, including influencer and creator strategy
  • Lead and drive breakthrough activations that garner all the buzz 
  • Set the PR and earned media strategy and lead efforts to get the WECO story told externally
  • As a critical member of the leadership team, work cross-functionally to shape the overall business strategy. 


Who you are: 


  • You know how to make consumer brands *happen* and are outstanding at translating brands into meaningful tactics and activities that score measurable wins 
  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role; experience in direct- to-consumer (D2C) is a huge plus 
  • You’re obsessed with customer insights and using them to create an unbelievable brand experience
  • You’re analytical - you recognize measurement is critical to all projects and initiatives 
  • Expertise in brand-storytelling, content and community building across owned and earned channels
  • Experience in launching community marketing strategies, including through influencer partnerships 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team to achieve (and surpass) marketing objectives
  • You care about improving our broken food system and want to build something big and valuable that also has a positive impact on all stakeholders, from customers to farmers to local purveyors to employees
