About Us: Established in 1983, Grace Center for Adult Day Services is a nonprofit organization committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate day services to seniors and adults with disabilities.


Job Summary: Represents Grace Center for Adult Day Services to families, health care representatives, health care providers, and the community. Actively engages with surrounding communities, builds strong relationships, and raises awareness about services. Establishes marketing/outreach, public speaking engagements, event planning/fundraising, donor development, grants and technology support.


Responsibilities:

 

·      Promotes Grace Center throughout the community. Establishes program marketing plan. Engages in relationship–building with various organizations, marketing support, public speaking, coordinating community engagement events, and hands-on promotion via tabling events, presentations, and networking. Connects with case managers, discharge planners, and health care professionals to promote Grace Center’s programs and services.

 

·      Performs the development and implementation of a public information program including social media posts, flyers, publications, brochures, news releases, newsletters, and other public relations materials.

 

·      Oversees the maintenance/technology support for website, social media pages and organizations software.  

 

·      Maintains a calendar of community outreach and engagement activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.

 

·      Prepares an annual budget for community outreach and engagement activities.

 

·      Coordinates annual fundraisers in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

 

·      Establishes and nurtures new and previous relationships with other organizations and schools in the community in order to collaborate on events, share resources, and develop mutually beneficial programs that enrich and support our collective missions.

 

·      Assists in donor development through outreach, networking, and best practices. Provides support in strategizing and implementing initiatives to boost donor engagement, deepening their connection to our mission and fostering consistent support.

 

·      Collaborates with the administrative team to conduct an ongoing review of the quality and effectiveness of the program and recommends changes as needed.

 

·      Responsible for grant efforts, including writing, submission, and management of grants. 

 

·      Utilizes and maintains competency in using Adult Day Service software and other web-based programs used by the organization.

 

·      Maintain knowledge of best practices and trends in adult day services and policies as well as new and emergent communication technologies and their ability to support communication goals.

 

·      Provides technology support.

 

·      Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

·      The ideal candidate possesses a desire to engage with the community, is adaptable, and excels in interpersonal interactions ranging from one-on-one conversations to public speaking.

·       Related bachelor’s degree preferred.

·      Experience with fundraising or event planning

·      Proficiency with grant writing.

·      Ability to work in a team as a leader and/or collaborator.

·      Experience with outreach services and community relations.

·      Demonstrates skill in attention to detail.

·      Ability to successfully manage multiple projects.

·      Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.

·      Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.

·      Demonstrates competence with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

·      Experience using Canva or similar software.

·      Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.

·      Demonstrates excellence in organizational and critical thinking skills.

·      Exemplifies through values, beliefs, and practices the philosophy and goals of Grace Center.

·      Ability to effectively interact with and communicate with elderly and disabled participants and their representatives.

·      Ability to sit for up to two hours at a time, to bend, straighten, and travel reasonable distances. 

·      Ability to lift to 20 pounds.

·      Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

·      Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
