Job Summary: The Outreach Coordinator serves as the representative of Grace Center, engaging with families, healthcare professionals, and the community at large. This role focuses on building strong relationships, raising awareness about our services, and developing outreach strategies that include marketing, public speaking, event planning, fundraising, donor relations, and technology support.
Key Responsibilities:
· Actively promotes Grace Center within the community by developing and executing a marketing strategy. Engages in relationship-building with various organizations, supports marketing efforts, delivers public presentations, and coordinates community engagement events through hands-on promotion.
· Develops and implements a public information program that includes creating social media content, flyers, publications, brochures, press releases, newsletters, and other public relations materials.
· Manages the maintenance and technology support for the organization's website, social media platforms, and software systems.
· Keeps a calendar of community outreach and engagement activities, including events, workshops, and other communication opportunities.
· Prepares an annual budget dedicated to community outreach and engagement initiatives.
· Coordinates annual fundraising events in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
· Establishes and maintains relationships with other organizations and educational institutions to collaborate on events, share resources, and develop programs that support our collective missions.
· Assists in donor development through outreach and networking, providing support in strategizing and implementing initiatives to enhance donor engagement and foster ongoing support.
· Collaborates with the administrative team to review the quality and effectiveness of outreach programs and recommends necessary adjustments.
· Responsible for grant writing, submission, and management of grant proposals.
· Utilizes and maintains proficiency in Adult Day Service software and other web-based applications used by the organization.
· Stays informed about best practices and trends in adult day services and communication technologies that can support outreach goals.
· Provides technology support as needed.
· Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to engage with the community, be adaptable, and excel in interpersonal interactions, ranging from individual conversations to public speaking.
· A related bachelor's degree is preferred.
· Experience in fundraising or event planning is essential.
· Proficiency in grant writing is required.
· Ability to work effectively as both a leader and collaborator within a team.
· Experience in outreach services and community relations is necessary.
· Attention to detail is crucial.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong collaborative skills with staff and volunteers.
· Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
· Competence in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is expected.
· Familiarity with design software such as Canva is advantageous.
· A solid understanding of social media and basic marketing platforms is required.
· Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills are essential.
· The candidate should embody the values and goals of Grace Center.
· Ability to interact effectively with elderly and disabled participants and their representatives.
· Physical ability to sit for extended periods, bend, and travel reasonable distances, with the capacity to lift up to 20 pounds.
· Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
· A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance are required.
