Minimum/Required Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree science, arts, or education AND at least 3 years, OR graduate degree and at least 1 year, of successful experience working as part of a team engaged in field-based science. Previous employment, or significant collaborative experience, with field-based or ship-based research or educational programs. Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in science, education, engagement and/or arts programs or settings. Experience supporting underserved and underrepresented people to fully participate in STEM or STEAM research, outreach and education programs. Experience monitoring safety and risks and developing actionable strategies to increase safety and reduce risk in a scientific, educational, or resource management settings. Experience living and/or working at research field stations, camps, or other remote sites. Exceptional teamwork and adaptability with demonstrated ability to prioritize and work effectively in a dynamic team environment. Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication and organizational skills that significantly contributed to the success of programs, projects or initiatives. Experience successfully using digital tools to safely and securely collaborate and share documents. Position Duties 50% Logistics, Safety and Programmatic Coordination Coordinate logistics and provide programmatic support to fulfill the Cooperative Agreement between OSU and NSF to facilitate Polar STEAM. 15% Provide Direct Support, Collaboration and Thought Partnership Provide direct support to Outreach and Engagement Lead in annual processes to recruit, select, and vet participants with responsibility to analyze and make recommendations related to safety and risk. 10% Communications and Outreach Provide participant data and information to support website updates and periodically review the website for accuracy and completeness. 20% Monitoring and Reporting Coordinate the timely development and delivery of monthly, quarterly, annual, and other requested reports to NSF program officers and other program partners as needed. 5% Professional Training and Development Obtain and share knowledge to support successful execution of job duties through engagement with peers, training, and professional development.
