Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


1.   Ensure all staff are performing functions that adhere to the requirements established in the FAA approved Quality Manual.

a.   Review manufacturing paperwork for completeness

b.   Control form revisions


2.   Perform quality assurance inspections of manufactured parts to ensure conformance to design requirements and disposition non-conforming parts. Inspections could include:

a.   Dimensional inspection using various inspection methods.

b.   Visual inspection

c.    Reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy


3.   Resolve defects resulting from manufacturing vendors and track their frequency, creating corrective action requests as needed.


4.   Evaluate manufacturing vendors and perform on-site audits, as needed.


5.   Miscellaneous administrative tasks



Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SolidWorks (or similar CAD software), Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Outlook.


Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or 2-year Associates Degree.

Previous experience in a Quality related position preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

·        Attention to detail

·        Ability to interpret manufacturing blueprints

·        Advanced knowledge of basic inspection techniques (calipers, micrometers, etc..)

·        Time management skills

·        Oral and written communication skills

·        Ability to maintain a positive attitude

·        Willing to work independently as well as in a team

·        GD&T

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
