Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician 4 to join our team at LyondellBasell North America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of our electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Planning
    • Plan and organize workloads and assignments of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Assure that tasks are performed within budget and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, and assist other technicians as needed.
    • Maintain the preventive maintenance program, evaluating schedules for all equipment and monitoring progress of weekly work orders.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Order and advise on parts and supplies needed for shop and equipment.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training to maintenance technicians based on individual needs or as directed by supervisor.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Participate in all safety-related programs and conduct regular safety observations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
    • 2 or more years' experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Ability to use shop and hand tools, multi-meter, and Meg ohm meter.
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
    • Proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
    • Ability to work overtime or weekends on short notice as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Advanced knowledge of working with control and 480-volt electrical circuits.
    • Electrical apprenticeship completion.
    • Ability to weld carbon and stainless steel using a Mig and Stick welder.
    • PLC knowledge.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Stand on feet for 8-12 hours.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Willing and able to comply with respiratory fit testing.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
  • Ability to work in moderate noise level atmosphere.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is not temperature-controlled.
