Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Food Production Plant Maintenance Apprentice. The apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced maintenance professionals to learn the skills required for maintaining and repairing equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role is designed for someone who is eager to start a career in industrial maintenance, with a focus on food production environments. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience with machinery, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance practices, contributing to the smooth operation of the plant.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, and more.
  • Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely.
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with plant machinery.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment under the supervision of senior maintenance staff.
  • Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document maintenance activities and learn to keep accurate records of work performed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to build skills in maintenance and repair.
