We are looking for a Plant Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading fresh and frozen foods processing and distribution facility in Philadelphia.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take charge of the upkeep and surveillance of the facility and its premises, including overseeing the central Freon refrigeration system for freezers and refrigerated spaces, alongside all engine room machinery (such as air compressors, boilers, etc.), ensuring all processes receive adequate support.
  • Spearhead the management of electrical distributions, along with the execution of enhancements and alterations within the facility.
  • Lead a dedicated team aimed at maintaining the facility and conducting in-house facility projects.
  • Direct the maintenance, preventive maintenance (PM), and renovation of processing equipment. Initiate changes in process layouts and equipment adjustments.
  • Supervise the care and management of all material handling equipment like forklifts and reach lifts.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience as a Plant Maintenance and Facility Engineer.
  • Proven capability to lead a team and effectively manage various projects at once.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of freon and/or ammonia-based refrigeration systems, electrical distributions, and material handling equipment.
