Position Overview

This full-time, on-site role is for a Food Production Equipment Maintenance Apprentice. The apprentice will collaborate with seasoned maintenance professionals to acquire the necessary skills for maintaining and repairing machinery within a food manufacturing setting. This position is ideal for those enthusiastic about embarking on a career in industrial maintenance, particularly in food production contexts. The apprentice will gain practical experience with machinery, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance techniques, contributing to the efficient operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the upkeep and repair of production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and packaging equipment.
  • Engage in scheduled preventive maintenance activities to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
  • Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with plant equipment.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to minimize downtime and uphold product quality.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Document maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance maintenance and repair skills.
