Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Manage and execute the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
  • Assist with tax filings and compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and other local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for special projects and business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling
