The Supply Chain Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain processes. This role involves optimizing the flow of goods and services which includes overseeing the storage, movement and delivery of goods, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely and cost-effective logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination
- Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Optimize logistics processes to ensure timely delivery of goods while reducing transportation costs.
- Mange relationships with third-party logistics providers.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Implement best practices for warehouse management to improve productivity and safety.
- Maintain adequate records of warehouse activities and inventory movement.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze logistics and inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics and inventory processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement innovative solutions and best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production planning, and sales, to align logistics and inventory activities with overall business objectives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support company goals.
- Production Planning
- Generate manufacturing work orders using supply and demand models.
- Create weekly schedules for each production line and communicate to production.
- Work closely with production supervisors to ensure the schedule is being followed and work orders are completed.
- Work closely with logistics to ensure the product is available to meet shipping dates and on-time delivery.
- Communicate with sales on upcoming promotions, new-customer onboarding, and any shortages to customer shipments.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, economics, or related disciplines.
- Recent grads considered.
- Knowledge of supply chain process flow and customer relations from a supply chain perspective.
- Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) with strong ability to understand/communicate/present and execute complex procurement strategies.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills required.
