Marketing Strategic Large Accounts Development Manager


Our client is an AI company focused on providing data to the retail industry. As a behind-the-scenes partner we help companies drive higher yield on their marketing expenditures. Our signature products are focused on targeting and acquiring customers who will be high lifetime value (LTV) customers. Our success is measured by customer repeat purchases over a longitudinal time scale. Most retailers in apparel and footwear, our core focus area, have repeat purchase rates of less than 20%. This means that only 20% of the customers making a purchase this month will make a second purchase in the ensuing 12 months. In contrast, customers using our audiences will see 30 to 50% improvements in their repeat purchase rates.


Our targeting audiences are activated on major ad platforms, including Meta and Google. In our sector our customers typically have Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) ratios ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 For example, if a customer has a ROAS of 2.0 it means that they yield 2X the amount of their ad spending. If they launch a $1 Million ad campaign on Meta it will yield $2 Million in revenue. This means that in the best-case scenario the retail brand is giving 50% of its revenue to Meta. Our business is about driving higher ad yield, reducing the proportion of revenue consumed by the ad platform.


The Marketing Strategic Accounts Development Manager will be responsible for developing our largest accounts. When we begin a relationship with a client, we generally begin with a pilot project which is the seed that can grow into much larger projects. To be clear, this isn’t a sales role. Much of work with clients involves learning the client’s marketing priorities and developing solutions that contribute to the client’s success. We few this position as akin to an orchestra conductor who can deploy our deep bench of data scientists and engineers on solving the customer’s problem. It’s a consultative role that sits between the customer and our deep bench of data talents.
