Vantage Point is a premium house of flower, rooted in developing the best and most premium cannabis companies, brands, and products in the market.

Vantage Point was born out of Satya Capital, a legacy cannabis operator in the medical market and early legalized space since 2013. Satya was initially founded by long-time entrepreneur and finance veteran Nishant Reddy and is co-owned and operated today by Nishant and partner Simmon Saraf. "Satya", which is named after the Sanskrit word for "truth", was founded with the intention of bringing truth, transparency, and institutional sophistication to the nascent cannabis industry.

Since its inception, Vantage Point has built several successful cannabis companies, including a fully vertically integrated operations in CA and CA’s most popular cannabis flower brand, A Golden State, and a leading effects-based flower band called PHASES.


Full job description

This analyst position will be a critical resource to drive business strategy and will need to keep abreast of the market dynamics – understanding the numbers, players, and trends. This will require digesting large amounts of data to pull out the key insights for both the Finance/Sales teams and Senior Leadership. This role will require travel up to 25% to Redding and Shasta CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis using multiple data sources to gauge market dynamics including macroeconomic trends in the industry, market share drivers, competitor’s performance, etc.
  • Strategize with the Finance/Sales teams to apply actionable data insights to the market to drive sales.
  • Present to leadership key learnings from data analysis to enable effective decision making.
  • Work with department managers to ensure the key performance indicators (KPIs) that Finance set are being tracked
  • Monitor pricing/Inventory metrics and draw informed conclusions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the product and sales teams to develop sales forecasts for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Provide input to the Finance team for the macroeconomic outlook for the annual budget.
  • Understand marketing and channel KPIs and provide insights into trends and performance
  • Help maximize marketing dollars by monitoring and analyzing campaign performance
  • Use business and trend data to support optimization strategies to stakeholders
  • Make budget recommendations based on analysis

Provide support to channel stakeholders

  • Working with Finance and Sales on Accounts Receivable
  • AR Reconciliation
  • Maintain the cost accounting structure Finance implements
  • Review promotions (apply credits earned by retailers during those promotions), review shelving/marketing fees, and communicate with retailers on reconciliations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, equivalent experience, or any combination of both.
  • Minimum 2- 5 years of experience in sales or data analytics
  • Proficiency in computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point).
  • Experience in Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and/or other analytic tools.
  • Must have ability to navigate through large amounts of data and identify key information.
  • Ability to tell a story with data and develop presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, driving change through influence
