The Civi Group has partnered with an established heavy civil construction company based in Meriden, CT. This client specializes in bridge work, marine construction, and design-build solutions, and has been operating in Connecticut for over 50 years. They are currently looking for a Construction Engineer to join their team.


This Construction Engineer will be responsible for a variety of on-site management and coordination tasks, including work on bridges, infrastructure projects, marine constructions, and temporary structures. Key responsibilities include coordinating critical lifts, overseeing deep foundation work, and providing various on-site engineering support activities.

Job Title: Construction Engineer


Compensation depends on experience but is 70 – 110K. Recent grads are OK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Oversee temporary structures for major bridge erections and demolitions.
  • Ensure proper execution of marine engineering solutions.
  • Supervise the installation of cofferdams and excavation support systems.
  • Coordinate complex crane lifts.
  • Oversee the construction of sophisticated falsework systems for landmark projects.
  • Implement soil anchoring designs on-site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Communicate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address on-site issues promptly.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Recent grads OK, preference for 1 - 3 years of Construction Engineering experience
