These could include on/off campus interviews, career panels, career fairs, large networking events, smaller industry panels, support of student club and/or diversity events, as well as all individually scheduled on/off-site treks to employers. The incumbent will liaise and partner with other BU career centers on event planning and employer engagement opportunities and best practices. Event logistics involve (but are not limited to): managing virtual event platforms, booking room reservations, devising and executing event setups/layouts, ordering catering and parking passes, assigning staff volunteers, ensuring all events are properly marketed by working closely with Feld colleagues. This role requires someone who is fast-paced, highly detailed and organized, and who can manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines at once, is tech savvy, and enjoys relationship building. There is heavy calendaring – ability to produce and maintain the Main Recruiting Calendar of events for each semester. Physical work will include some lifting of boxes in preparation/setup of career fairs and office supply inventory.

Assist employers with their accounts on the BU recruiting system (Handshake) prior to or during events. Coordinate on-campus interview posting and scheduling process. Provide superior customer service to all employers during the event and interview scheduling process. Coordinate, plan, post and schedule all virtual and on-campus recruiting interview schedules. Disseminate all interview information to students and employers in a proactive manner. Greet employers for all interviews in the morning, escort them to their interview suites, deliver lunches, and provide support during the course of the day including the completion of employer/alumni surveys for all events. Provide concierge-level service in order to build and steward high-quality employer and alumni engagement. Coordinate with student services offices and other internal stakeholders on event planning and execution. Must be able to problem solve in real time and carry out multiple activities simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Function 3 (20%)

Supervision of Student Workers: Work closely with undergraduate student(s) each semester to plan and execute high-quality recruiting events. Manage projects related to employer engagement and event execution in coordination with Industry Relationship Managers, Manager of Marketing and staff of the Operations and Alumni Engagement teams. Track progress of student(s) on projects and act as liaison between student(s) and Questrom career staff on all activity related to employer events and engagement initiatives.
