Join the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement as the Assistant Director of Employer Events Reporting to the Senior Director of Career Operations, you'll play a key role in boosting employer and alumni engagement by organizing dynamic virtual and on-campus events that strengthen relationships with companies recruiting at our school.


What You'll Do:


Event Management (90% of the role):

  • Oversee logistics for a variety of events, including career fairs, networking events, interviews, and industry panels.
  • Collaborate with the Questrom Events and Conferences team to handle everything from booking venues and catering to marketing events and coordinating volunteers.
  • Keep our Recruiting Workbook and event calendar up to date—this role involves a lot of calendaring
  • Be prepared to help with physical tasks like setting up for events and managing supplies.

Employer Experience:

  • Provide top-notch support to employers using our recruiting system (Handshake) and assist with invoicing for events.
  • Manage the scheduling and posting of on-campus and virtual interviews.
  • Ensure clear communication with students and employers about event details.
  • Work with internal teams and other BU career centers to share best practices and collaborate on events.


Supervision of Undergraduate Students (10% of the role):

  • Mentor and supervise several undergraduate student workers each semester to help with event logistics and employer engagement projects.


What You Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in corporate relations, program management, or recruiting. Event management experience is a plus
  • A detail-oriented, organized approach to handling multiple tasks and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • A proactive, strategic and solutions mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Handshake, Salesforce, or project management tools like Trello is a bonus.
  • Flexibility to work many early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends during peak recruiting seasons. Remote work is available consistently only during off-peak times.
