Our Client is currently seeking a Payments Portfolio Manager


The Portfolio Manager collaborates with Product Areas/Families to oversee the flow of work through the system. This includes intake, prioritization, tracking, and reporting. The goal is to enable business teams and leadership to monitor progress, remove blockers, and make informed decisions that deliver maximum value to the organization. The Portfolio Manager provides management, oversight, and support to Product Area team leaders, ensuring efficient processes for managing work.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Value-Based Prioritization: Partner with product and technology leaders to prioritize work based on financial evaluation of investments. Develop a business strategy and approach to translate ideas into executable portfolios aligned with the organization’s vision and strategy.
  2. Intake Process: Facilitate the intake process for new work entering the portfolio. Ensure alignment with goals, clearly defined scope, and value. Obtain necessary approvals (e.g., risk, architecture, finance).
  3. Initiative Planning: Oversee the planning of initiatives from inception through implementation. Ensure adherence to industry, technology, and business standards.
  4. Transparency and Insights: Provide transparency into the work and expected value within the portfolio. Reflect team priorities and delivery efficiency to drive informed actions and decisions.
  5. Workflow Orchestration: Coordinate workflows across teams and complex portfolios in a matrixed operating model. Align delivery timing, assess risks, and consider training needs for successful product utilization and market entry.
  6. Product Understanding: Maintain a fundamental understanding of product functionality, capabilities, major components, customers, and potential areas of risk.
  7. Portfolio Management Model: Contribute to the development of the Portfolio Management operating model.

  • Financial Acumen: Assess value and costs for developing and implementing capabilities. Make informed decisions within the organization.
