This position provides advanced technical service and support to enhance the reliability, stability, security, and performance of all systems, leveraging efficiencies through cutting-edge computing technologies. The role is based in Bartlesville, with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Essential Functions
- Utilize a robust service desk system to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, and appropriately route support tickets.
- Architect, deploy, manage, and maintain virtualization environments, with a focus on Nutanix and VMware platforms.
- Implement, manage, and support comprehensive security measures across the infrastructure.
- Utilize advanced monitoring tools to ensure continuous operational functionality and performance optimization of sophisticated systems.
- Administer and maintain enterprise-grade systems software across diverse environments.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate issues in technology systems, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Participate in and lead disaster recovery testing scenarios, ensuring robust business continuity plans.
- Design, configure, manage, and optimize backup and restoration systems.
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and support of data center facilities and hyper-converged infrastructures (HCI).
- Ensure timely updates, releases, patches, and firmware upgrades for all servers within the data centers.
- Manage and support a variety of operating system variants, including advanced configurations and optimizations.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in TCP/IP utilization and implementation.
- Implement and manage mobile technologies and virtual private networks (VPN) to ensure secure and efficient remote connectivity.
- Administer and support Windows and Linux operating systems with advanced expertise.
- Manage and optimize SQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for systems engineering.
- Perform IT on-call duties, providing expert technical support and ensuring rapid issue resolution.
- Undertake additional technical duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics
Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth experience in ITIL and ITSM environments, implementing best practices and optimizing IT service management.
- Expertise in virtualization architectures and environments, including Nutanix and VMware.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems, and associated systems software.
- Proven performance and optimization capabilities in high-speed server architectures.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills in complex, technologically diverse environments.
- Strong engineering principles and practices in infrastructure technologies.
- Proficiency in Nutanix, Citrix, PowerShell, Windows Azure, UNIX, and VMware.
