As a CNC Swiss Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision parts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machinist to showcase their skills and contribute to the success of our organization.


Responsibilities:

- Load and unload raw materials onto CNC lathes.

- Utilize gages and measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.

- Use hand tools and cutting tools effectively and safely.

- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce setup and machining time.

- Inspect completed work using tools such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and rulers.

- Clean and perform daily/preventative maintenance on CNC machines.

- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

- Adhere to AS9100 requirements and safety procedures.

- Provide feedback and input for process improvement initiatives.

- Train and mentor newer employees on manufacturing processes and procedures.

- Perform geometry, tool wear offsets, and program edits as needed.

- Comply with all quality policies and instructions.

- Track and record job progress and deficiencies in written and electronic formats.


Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience as a CNC Swiss Machinist or Mill Machinist

- Proficient at reading and understanding mechanical drawings.

- Strong understanding of and ability to accurately use measuring tools.

- Proficient knowledge of various CNC controls and M and G code.

- Ability to independently set up and operate lathes.

- Self-sufficiency and ability to work with minimal assistance.

- Strong mathematical skills for performing calculations.

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

- Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.

- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
