Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Creating detailed engineering drawings for HVAC control systems.
  • Reviewing project specifications and contract documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Producing precise schematics using tools such as AutoCAD and/or Visio.
  • Calculating the appropriate sizes for control valves, dampers, and airflow stations within HVAC systems.
  • Writing and interpreting operational sequences for HVAC control systems, as well as compiling submittals and operation & maintenance manuals.

Qualifications
The ideal applicant will possess:

  • An associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, coupled with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Visio for at least 3 years.
  • A solid understanding of electrical circuits, HVAC systems, and control mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of advanced hydronic and ductwork systems.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in the MS Office Suite.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is highly desirable.
