AECI 1 & AECI 2 Middle School are brand-new educational institutions opening in September 2025, dedicated to fostering a community of academic excellence, innovation, and personal growth. Our mission is to provide a supportive and challenging learning environment that prepares students to explore the skills, knowledge, and practical experiences leading to college and a career focused in the architecture, engineering and construction industries.

The AECI Charter Schools Network is looking for a dynamic, committed Principal to lead either AECI 1 Middle School or AECI 2 Middle School; to inspire our students and support our school community to advanced levels of success. The AECI Network Middle School Principal is expected to fulfill the following: 

Responsibilities:

●               Leadership and Vision: Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic plan for the school's growth and success. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture aligned with AECI’s mission and goals


●               Academic Excellence: Oversee curriculum development and ensure the implementation of rigorous and engaging instructional practices. Monitor student progress and achievement, ensuring all students meet and exceed academic standards




●               Staff Development: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a diverse and talented faculty. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities and support to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes


●               Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community. Promote active parental involvement and foster community partnerships that support the school’s mission


●               Operational Management: Manage the school's daily operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and policies


●               Student Support: Advocate for the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students. Implement programs and services that address the diverse needs of the student population, promoting a safe and inclusive school environment

Qualifications:

✔             Educational Background: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field

✔             Certification: Valid NYS, School Building Leader (SBL) certification

✔             Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and 3 years of administrative experience, preferably at the middle school level

✔             Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a school community. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

✔             Commitment to Diversity: Experience working in diverse educational settings. Commitment to equity and inclusion in education

✔             Visionary: Ability to develop and articulate a clear vision for a new school. Innovative and forward-thinking approach to education
