LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Hydraulics Field Specialist on behalf of our client in Harrison, Ohio. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $30 to $37 per hour. As a Hydraulics Field Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment hydraulic systems. The position requires local and, at times, extensive overnight travel (60%) as a key member of our field service team. We are looking for a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship. In our small team environment, dependability is critical, including the ability to work overtime when needed. This is a day shift position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems in heavy equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems.
  • Replace hydraulic hoses, pumps, motors, valves, and other components as needed.
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify hydraulic system failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to and support the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.


Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Technical school credentials preferred.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in repairing hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand equipment manuals and blueprints.
  • Rigging experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in other construction equipment, such as aerial lifts (gas, electric & diesel), skid loaders, mobile cranes, rough terrain forklifts, excavators, light towers, air compressors, generators, etc., is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel overnight 60% of the time.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Capability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods, and occasionally working in inclement weather.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • A professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • The selected candidate must supply their own repair tools; larger tools/equipment will be provided.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
