Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist at Sapear Inc, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our supplier network. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high standards and fostering strong partnerships with our suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor and assess supplier performance, proactively addressing any deviations or challenges in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of potential suppliers against established quality criteria in partnership with the Purchasing department.
- Develop and uphold supplier quality standards that align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to resolve quality-related issues utilizing techniques such as root cause analysis.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure that suppliers meet product specifications and requirements.
- Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests to effectively tackle recurring quality challenges.
- Facilitate the Production Part Approval Process with key customers to ensure compliance with their specifications.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supplier network to enhance overall quality.
- Design and implement training programs for suppliers to educate them on quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Quality Engineer is essential.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Root Cause Analysis.
- Project Management experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of Electromechanical Design principles.
Willingness to travel 15-20% as necessary, with weekends spent at home.
