JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Looking for L1/L2 Support/ Production Support/Incident Management strong hands-on exp. Must

Note: The requirement is for a Senior Systems Engineer position focused on Engineering Operations and Production Support with a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach.

  • Role Overview: The role involves maintaining a healthy production ecosystem, ensuring applications are responsive, user-friendly, and reliable, and partnering with various stakeholders to meet Non-Functional Requirements.
  • Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include incident management, building observability features, problem-solving, creating runbooks, automating processes, performance optimization, and conducting blameless postmortems.
  • Experience Required: The candidate should have 5+ years of technical hands-on experience in Engineering Operations/production support within a J2EE environment and be skilled in observability tools and automation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Java and J2EE technologies, experience with observability tools like Dynatrace and App Dynamics, and familiarity with containerization and cloud services are required.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with integration technologies, DevOps practices, and database SQL queries is essential, along with effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Desirable Skills: Certifications in Java, cloud technologies, or SRE methodologies, and experience with Salesforce and AI/ML principles are highly valued.
  • Shift requirement: US Business Shift
  • On-call Support: The role requires 24x7 on-call support for agent-facing applications, including home-grown J2EE apps and SaaS platform apps like Salesforce.

Required Skills:


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience in production support, system monitoring, or SRE roles within J2EE environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting complex issues.

• Proficiency in Java, J2EE technologies, and frameworks such as Spring and Weblogic.

• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Shell).

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (Azure).

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins).

• Understanding of network protocols, load balancing, and security principles.

• Experience with database SQL queries.

• Ability to build Linux shell scripts on demand

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills:


• Certifications in Java, cloud technologies, or SRE methodologies.

• Familiarity with APM tools (AppDynamics), log management solutions (ELK/EFK stack) and Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) tools (Quantum Metrics).

• Knowledge of creating dashboards in PowerBI, AppDynamics, Quantum Metrics and ELK/EFK stack.
