Licensed Psychologist for Older Adult Protective Services

Job Overview: Good Minds, LLC, a leading provider of government-contracted services, is seeking experienced Licensed Psychologists to partner with us as 1099-subcontractors. You will work within Montgomery County's Older Adult Protective Services (OAPS) unit, providing critical psychological evaluations and expert testimony to support the protection and well-being of vulnerable older adults.


Compensation: $400/completed service unit


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site evaluations and clinical interviews within 5 business days of referral.
  • Generate detailed capacity determination reports within 3 business days post-evaluation.
  • Participate in guardianship hearings, providing testimony as required (virtually or in-person).
  • Collaborate closely with OAPS staff and provide expert consultations to ensure the best outcomes for older adults.
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professional conduct.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a Licensed Psychologist in good standing in Pennsylvania.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields, particularly with Area Agencies on Aging or similar organizations.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in guardianship cases within Montgomery County.
  • Must be responsive to urgent, time-sensitive situations.
  • A background in working with older adults and understanding of aging services is essential.
  • Must complete and provide documentation for the following background checks:
  • Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check (within one year prior to hire).
  • FBI Background Check (if residence was outside of Pennsylvania within the last 2 years).
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance (recommended if there will be regular contact with minors).

  5. PA Child Abuse History Clearance (recommended but not mandatory).
  6. Professional References: At least three references from relevant professional experiences, preferably in aging services or psychological evaluation roles.
  7. Insurance Certificate: Proof of professional liability insurance .
  8. Compliance Statement: A statement confirming your understanding and agreement to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations relevant to the position.
  9. Cover Letter: A brief letter outlining your experience and interest in the position, including any specific experience with Area Agencies on Aging or guardianship cases.
