WTOC has an award-winning newsroom and a strong commitment to serving the community.Job Summary/Description: WTOC is seeking an organized and creative professional to lead our sales team in the role of Director of Sales. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated to develop and execute a strategic plan for sales success to achieve revenue goals, develop new local direct business, and increase station digital billing. Must be focused and driven, with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable for individual and team sales goals.Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Providing strategic leadership to achieve revenue targets with an emphasis on digital and new local direct business growthRecruiting, coaching, and training sales managers and sellersForecasting, managing budgets, and developing/executing a strategic sales plan are criticalCollaborating with other station department heads to achieve station goals and deliver key resultsQualifications/Requirements:A bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university is preferredMinimum of five years of prior experience in broadcast salesMinimum of three years of experience managing a sales team, including experience in strategic planning, and a track record of growing revenue.Gray Media provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
