**These roles are home-office based, but it is required that candidates live in the territory in order to visit customers. Candidates must live in near the Indianapolis area.**

Our client is a 100+ year old industrial automation manufacturer that is looking for someone to drive rapid growth in the Indianapolis territory by acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts through consultative relationship building. The territory is well established, but has yet to reach its potential, providing a unique opportunity for growth and attainment bonuses.

Position offers base salary + bonuses paid quarterly + company car + great benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell a variety of industrial automation products, both directly to OEMs and through distribution.
  • Sales strategy development, account planning, prospecting, and sales execution to close deals with businesses across many different verticals.
  • Maintain effective relations with distribution channel and help maximize their success.
  • Local travel within territory to visit clients and attend meetings/training- very little overnight travel is expected.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree with industrial automation sales experience and local market knowledge is preferred.
  • At least 3 years experience selling sensors and other industrial automation products.
  • Hunter/Prospecting/Business Development sales background and profile.
  • Territory is the Detroit metro area, so little overnight travel is required.
